8.8 Cloud hosting (planned)

Cloud has no service to sign up for, no version number and no how-to documentation yet. This page describes a direction only and is not a service commitment. What you can use today is Free open-source Web.

Planned direction

Cloud is for people who want less maintenance. Teloa plans to host the runtime and backups and to support access from any device:

• Hosted execution: digital colleagues run in a hosted environment, so cloud tasks can continue while your computer is offline.
• Hosted backups: work data is stored and backed up by the hosted environment; retention and restore rules will be described before release.
• No automatic local access: the hosted environment does not automatically gain access to files and programs on your computer.

Cloud is a hosting choice, not a required upgrade step, and it does not include free model credits. You still configure your own model service, and model usage is billed separately.

How it differs from Pro

Pro runs work on your own computer and the phone only manages it; Cloud runs work in a hosted environment. You can choose either, and a remote connection does not move work to the cloud. See the comparison table in Editions and distribution options.

After release

When Cloud launches, the Product menu will lead to its documentation, with the service version and review date registered separately. Until then there are no Cloud instructions or prices.
